important discovery

So after eight months of intensive cooking, I learned last night that a clove of garlic is only one section of the whole thing (i.e. the "bulb")

That explains so much.

I learned that when I went to buy three cloves of garlic for my chicken and was thinking that three of those things seemed like an awful lot.

Well, fortunately I used mostly minced garlic (I bought in a jar.) My most memorable recipe that would have benefited from this knowledge was roasted tomato soup. Needless to say the 3 garlic bulbs I added way overpowered the two tomatoes. I just wasn't as astute as you, Mark. Haha.
Andrea, that chicken sounds woooonderful. Mmm.

oh Hal. I remember well realizing the same thing when I started getting into cooking in college.

This post made me so happy.
